E.Z., Inc.

E.Z., Inc. is a community-based day supports program designed to serve our aging population and individuals with medical issues.  The key points of the E.Z., Inc. program provide support and opportunities for our individuals to enrich their lives and enjoy a full range of activities focusing on a schedule that includes a blend of settings with a social component and recreational facets, with skill acquisition and slower paced vocational options being available.

The members focus less on a structured work week and more on developing social and leisure skills participating in a variety of optional components with a circle of familiar friends and staff.  Individuals engage in leisure and learning activities such as spending time in the community volunteering, attend community sponsored events and frequent local restaurants, trips to the local library and museums such as the Museum of Science, the Aquarium, etc., are common events.  The E.Z., Inc. program maintains a popular exercise component for its members, which meets twice a week in a gym, with a qualified instructor.  This program has the dual benefit of well-being, monitored exercise, as well as, providing a core social, team approach that is appropriate for our members.

We continue to develop personal skills and competencies offering choices in on-going learning based on individual preferences with a continued emphasis on self-determination and individual control.  In these modules, individuals have options such as attending the bi-weekly exercise group or the very popular Quilting-Sewing program with their peers.

Our Social Focus program is available to E.Z., Inc. and many members participate in the many social and recreational events provided during the week from movie trips and restaurant visits to bowling and seasonal events and farm and beach trips.

Some individuals continue to express the desire and have the option to participate in on-site work contracts such as bulk mailings and newspaper inserts while continuing the easier pace of the E.Z., Inc. program.
