Brief History of LFC
Life Focus Center was the dream of a handful of socially committed and compassionate individuals led by June Reilly, who, in 1978, along with Jack Millerick, Executive Director, recognized and responded to the urgent community need for services to people with disabilities. Operations began modestly, in the basement of a local community school and were supported by personal resources. Kevin O’Halloran, Deputy Director, joined the LFC “family” shortly after. Thirty years later, the agency is a viable and thriving community resource. “Community” has expanded to include all neighborhoods of Boston as well as it surrounding cities and towns.
