Life Focus Center is all about giving people with physical and developmental disabilities a chance to succeed by providing targeted services and positive options to individuals, families and communities.

(LFC) unique from other human services providers, and it becomes clear:  Life Focus Center’s greatest strength comes from the people who are Life Focus.  Relationships between staff and consumers; between staff and parents; between staff and Service Coordinators and between volunteers and staff.  Helping Chapter 688 students and adults with disabilities gain greater independence involves whole individuals, whole families and support systems.

Community Service programs focus on the needs of adults with mental retardation, it offers an interconnected menu of programs providing not only a safety net for consumers but also a platform for initiatives that respond to their developing needs.  Consumer advocacy, service coordination and social and recreational programs are critical components of this service delivery system.  Through Special Solutions, our employment program, consumers receive customized employment related services within a variety of program models that include facility-based employment, work enclaves, work crews and supported and independent employment.

Life Focus Center provides individualized support for 688 students who are transitioning from a High School environment to a work location.  Classroom type settings are designed to further address academic, social and vocational needs.  Interest surveys are conducted, social skills are further developed and safety skills in the community are taught.  Hands-on support is provided in all teaching models.

Our Program Managers will work with you to assess your individual’s needs and provide assistance to them to become employed within the community.
